Botox treatment..

Today I had my first Botox treatment for migraines, I have been having chronic migraines since I was 14 year old. I will have 18 injections over 12 weeks for a year.  I also found out that:

Since the 1970s Botox has been used to treat a variety of medical conditions. Today there are at least 20 conditions where Botox may be used.

These include:

Cervical dystonia- severe neck muscle spasms
Blepharospasm – an uncontrollable eye twitch or muscle spasm
Severe and excessive underarm sweating
Eye alignment or fixing ‘cross eyes’
Bruxism or teeth grinding
Overactive bladder
Chronic migraine

I have two of these conditions. I grind my teeth,really bad. I go through two mouth guards a year, before I got a mouth guard a five years ago I used to wake myself up from grinding. Maybe the botox will help with this as well.

Low Carb Chips Recipe


Low Carb Chips Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 4 egg whites
  • approximately 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • seasoning to taste (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease a mini muffin pan REALLY well with vegetable or olive oil. You can also use Pam, but personally, I don’t think it works as well.
Separate 4 egg whites and seasoning of choice into a bowl and whisk well. I just add a pinch of garlic salt and black pepper, and sometimes rosemary!
Spoon about 1/2 tablespoon of your egg white mixture into each muffin compartment (just until you have a very thin layer covering the bottom). The muffin pan I use has 24 slots, and I find that 3-4 egg whites fills them perfectly. Keep in mind, the thinner you cover the bottom, the crispier your chips will be. If you make it too thick, your chips will only be crispy on the rim, but still really tasty!
Top each one with a pinch of shredded cheddar cheese. When I’m done, I use a small spatula to make sure none of the cheese is touching the edges for easier clean up. The cheese tends to stick to the sides a bit. The silicone muffin tins are much easier to clean… I’m ordering one pronto. ;)
Bake for 10-20 minutes or until the edges have browned. Your baking time will depend on how thick your egg mixture is.
Use a small spatula to remove the chips from the pan. Eat immediately and enjoy!

Coconut Haystacks (Keto /Low Carb)












Ingredients
½ a bag of Lily's Chocolate Chips
2 tablespoons of butter
1½ cups of unsweetened coconut flakes, toasted
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Spread coconut on a cookie sheet and bake for 3 minutes.
Remove from oven, stir, then cook again for 3 minutes or until coconut is lightly browned.
Using a double broiler, bring water to a boil, then turn down to simmer.
Add ½ a bag of Lily's Chocolate Chips and butter in a double broiler and stir until completely melted.
Add toasted coconut to melted chocolate. Unsweetened coconut varies in shape and size so it may take a little less than the amount I have listed. Keep adding coconut until it is completely coated with the melted chocolate.
Spoon approx a ½ to ¾ a teaspoon at a time on parchment paper.
Set in freezer for 10 minutes, then store in fridge.

How much more easier can you get then two simple ingredients..

Lazy Keto Chips Ingredients
  • Slices of cheese in about 1 1/2 inch squares
  • Tabasco Sauce
  • Optional:  Jalapeno Slices

Lazy Keto Chips Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place a large piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  3. Layout cheese squares on the baking sheet.
  4. Add a drop of Tabasco sauce to each square of cheese.  Optional:  Add a jalapeno slice on top for added flavor and spice!  (Did you know there are different flavors of Tabasco sauce?!!)
  5. Bake the cheese squares for about 15 minutes
  6. Allow them to cool a bit before touching them.  They will turn crispy once they are cooled off.

Keto Diet

Well I have been following the keto diet . Love the meals, and i am down 3 lbs. here are a few things i have made so far.

 Hamburger Cabbage Soup

 INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp butter 
2 tbsp olive oil

1 cup onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 -2 lbs ground beef
3 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme
2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 large head cabbage, halved and sliced
3 cups riced cauliflower
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large stock pot or dutch oven over medium heat, heat the butter and olive oil. Add the onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
Add the ground beef . Cook until browned and drain any excess grease. Add oregano, sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, thyme, tomatoes, parsley, cabbage and riced cauliflower. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 – 45 minutes.
NOTES
I put a little water in mine as well. I also put franks hot sauce

Whats in a name you ask

What's in a name you ask, well a lot. I have been going by Diane my whole like until a few years ago I needed a passport,. I had to get my birth certificate and when it came my name was spelled Diana, now let me tell you the fun I have been having to change things over.. NOT.. I could have paid close to 300. to have one letter changed and then on top of that pay for  my passport. I chose to leave the A and starting going by Diana. The headache that has followed oh my..  Some things I can change and some I cant crazy

Weight Loss Struggle Update

Today I made cabbage roll soup, and added franks hot sauce my favorite.. I also weight myself and I am down 3 lbs , now I am not sure if its from the big poop I had or not, but I'll take it lol...

Weight issues

I deal everyday with weight issues. I know I hear all the time oh you look great , yet to feel you look great you have to feel you look good in your own skin, and for me that has always been a struggle. I go up an down all the time in my weight. Recently I have been trying to eat clean and be more self aware of what i am putting in my body. I have been running and trying to get to the gym.
