Bundled up and took some shots of the weather today..

Well even when the weather is the way it is today, you can get some nice shots with your camera if you are willing to go out, and freeze you butt off, and I mean that literally. I couldn't get to sleep right away so I went out and took a few here are a few. I am thinking an enlargement not sure yet...The wind at times will just come up and you cant see a thing and then it is beautiful out with a little bit of sun trying to peek through...

When Someone says...Driving is especially treacherous...........

.. so if you really do have to get somwhere... leave yourself lots of extra time.. What does that mean to you?  I was waiting to get off work this morning at 7 and all I heard on the radio was how bad the roads were and if the truck drivers cant stay on the roads then we shouldn't be on them either. I totally agree after my ride home I live out the number 12 hwy , I drove from Greenwich to Kentville and evey car either behind or in front of me was a good distance and driving to the road conditions. Now here is where the story gets interesting I came the Chester Ave way home and I was not on the road long when this car rid my Ass even trying to pass me, speeding up on my but, then slowing down, he turned off and long and be hold this 18 wheeler rides my back seat, now I was going 45 km that is what I felt safe for me due to white outs etc. I came to my driveway and it was total white out and I ended up driving another km before I could find a driveway without getting stuck in to turn around and just as I was on a little bend out by the feather plant this 18 wheeler that's riding my Ass passes me in a white out. I have attached photos I took of my husband leaving our driveway to go to work now you tell me I had to see if any cars where coming for him to leave, was it a smart idea for anyone let alone a 18 wheeler to pass anyone.

Going to start running again...

Well a few years ago I was really into running and I started working shift work and slowly got out of it, so today I have decided to start running again. I will have to start from scratch so I downloaded this app for my iPad called Strong Runner and it looks pretty awesome it gives you workouts, stretches ,and a 10 week plan for a 5k run. I also downloaded an app called Shape Get In Gear and I do recommend this app it's loaded with tons of stuff to get you going/ will be sure to keep you posted on how I am doing. If you don't hear from me then I am laying face flat at the end of my treadmill lol :-)
Yeah I know some of you who know me, are saying you don't need to loose any weight. Yet here's my take on that, for a long time I was not happy in my own skin, and it took me a long time to get to where I was happy. So that being said no matter how good you think those few extra pounds look on me, I am not happy with them and I need to be happy.. So move over red rover cause here I come...

After being married for 49 years, a wife asked her husband to describe her.

She asks ... "What the hell does that mean?"

He said, "Adorable, Beautiful, Cute, Delightful, Elegant, Foxy, Gorgeous,
and Hot."

She smiled happily and said ..."Oh, that's so lovely - but what about I, J,
K?"

He said, "I'm Just Kidding!"

The swelling in his eye is going down and the doctor is fairly optimistic
about saving his testicles.

Car Accident....

This morning I received a phone call we all don't look forward to getting, the caller on the other end said your husbands been involved In a car accident. Well my heart sank I was so mixed up I did two circles in my kitchen before getting ready to head to the hospital.. He's okay, has a bad concussion and sore back, the doctor says he will be worse tomorrow.. The car on the other hand didn't fair out as well,the car can be replaced.. I am just glad Danny is okay things could have turned out different. He still had a since of honour, he can't remember the events of the accident but he said at the hospital "good thing I had pants and socks on to match." I had a pair of pants out for him one morning and he said he couldn't wear them cause they didn't match his socks. Oh Danny I love you ,your funny...

Well the old sane is "Red sky at morning ,sailors take warring" "Red sky at night, sailors delight" and I do believe it , the morning before the storm I posted a picture of the sunrise and the sky was bright red, and here is a picture I took tonight of the sunset... You make your own judgement..

Cleaning up after old man winter..

Well we sure did get hit by old man winter yesterday, now it's clean up time. The wind is still blowing up here some today and a few snow flakes are falling but nothing like yesterday.. Here are some pictures I took today...

The Weather Man was right and the Red Sky...

Well the weather man was right and the red sky the other morning sure was a warring.....the wind has been blowing so hard up here, there's no traffic on the road, the power went out for a few hours. Just as we got the generator all hooked up the power came back on and, wouldn't you know it we unhook everything and out goes the power again... Bailey hasn't ate much all day for he doesn't want to go outside, smart dog...he goes out and the wind comes up and he's like screw this and heads for the door. I took a few pictures every time they call for a nor'easter we can tell by the way the snow goes in our driveway when we had White Juan it blows all in by our back door, just like this storm. Just little bit of history White Juan was in February 17th,2004 it was the result of two storms coming together and that's the same way this storm formed and its in February as well.. Looks like another White Juan to me.... Last time greenwood weather centre had reported 44 cm of snow with more to come tonight... Won't have total amounts until tomorrow..

I got off work this morning at 7 am and got home around 7:15 and here is the sunrise, now if the old sane is right  " Red sky at morning , Sailors take warning"  maybe the weather man is right we are in for a wild weekend with lots of snow...

We can Learn a lot from our dogs...
