Happy Nurses Week...

May 6th - 12th is nurses week, and I want to take this time to say happy nurses week to all my co-workers.. No we may not have LPN or RN by our name but we do have CCA , and we are nurses . No I don't give needles, .or medication. I do however have knowledge in:

• addressing individual psychosocial needs
• administering personal care
• dementia management strategies
• gerontology (a major area of study)
• long-term care philosophy in different settings
• promoting independence in a safe environment
• working with individuals with different physical and cognitive impairments
• working with people of different cultures
• Able identify and respond to changes in clients conditions and seek appropriate help
• Able to work in home care setting, long-term care facility, private care home, acute care facility, integrated facility, supportive housing or special needs classroom. 
• I am the one who takes care of your loved one when you are not there.

So happy Nurses Week
